The property is enclosed by an entry gate leading into the driveway. The house itself has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is also a laundry area as well as an outdoor patio where you will find the pool and chairs to lounge!
Guests have complete access of the space, including the backyard area with the heated pool and wonderful view!

October 2025First time in PR and our hotel reservations got messed up and thank god it did. This place was definitely worth the drive and for the price can’t beat it(would be lucky to get a parking spot in Boston for what we paid for the week), very affordable, clean, Breath taking views and private. Could not have asked for a better first experience in PR and so happy we stayed with Porfirio. DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK!!

August 2025Beautiful home and my son fell in love with the cats that visited us day and night. The pool was a bit too warm during the day, at night it was the perfect temperature. We would have also loved to have hot water while we showered but overall enjoyed our stay and the breathtaking views.

August 2025Our stay was so beautiful! The view was unreal and we were even greeted with a rainbow when we arrived! There were two kitties on the property that were so sweet and snuggled right up with us outside during our stay! They greeted us in the mornings and evenings when we returned! The rooms were spacious and the water was pretty hot for us the entire time we were there! We did lose power a few times due to the weather which is pretty typical over there! The host was super responsive and proactive when we notified him! The drive there had some amazing views of the beautiful mountains in Ciales! Would absolutely stay again!!!

July 2025This place is definitely worth it. The view is something that would be way more expensive in the mainland. It’s a little private and secluded but obviously that’s any Mountain View place. I don’t recommend checking in at night just because it might seem a little creepy if you aren’t used to secluded places. You also wanna see the view when you first check in, so don’t be like us and get to it at night lol. It’s safe and clean and beautiful!!! The cats were a cute little touch. We had a problem arise before checking out and the host was very nice and responsive. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

June 2025beautiful home, however the location was pretty remote, about 25 minutes away from the town listed. House is very updated, but could use an AC unit in the main living area; only the rooms had AC. The rooms are very spacious and beds were very comfortable. Some of the windows didn't close all the way and we encountered a couple lizards in the bedrooms. Overall it was a great rental.

May 2025Lovely home with spectacular views. Comfortable beds. Fabulous mini-splits keeping cold for sleeping. Kitchen could use some more dishes such as storage containers. Absolutely LOVED the resident cats. Sweet kitties made it feel just like home. Outstanding views and beautiful birds. Neighbors were very loud but it was Saturday night otherwise didn’t notice other people. Grocery within miles of the house and restaurant as well. Very remote with curvy roads. More often than not respectful drivers.

May 2025Absolutely breathtaking location and the view is jaw dropping. The amenities were great and pool was very nice. The host was very nice and responsive. Everything went great other than a power outage and roadblocking due to a landslide which was out of the hosts control of course. Just be sure to download maps ahead of time and know the alternative routes as you will need them.

April 2025Four generations of my family recently returned from a wonderful vacation in Ciales Puerto Rico. This house is truly a hidden jem; a true paradise. The house offered everything we wanted and more. We wanted a quiet, peaceful, serene atmosphere where we could enjoy nature. This place gave us that. We were immersed in the culture, which is sometimes lost when you're in heavily tourist areas such as San Juan. The roads are narrow, but you take it easy and slow, and you'll be OK. We were about an hour and a half away from most of the things we wanted to see but our views along our drives were so beautiful that we didn't mind. Some of the places we visited were Ojo de Agua Natural Springs in Vega Baja. Jungla Beach in Guanica. Ice cream shop in Lares, Guavate strip, Bayamón flea, El Batey de los Hermanos Ayala in Loiza and too many to name. Host was very prompt in responding to us when we reached out. It was a truly amazing vacation and we can't wait to come back.

April 2025A peaceful paradise in the clouds. The view is spectacular. Seeing the view from the private pool, unforgettable. Tucked away on a mountainside the home is modern and clean and loaded with amenities. The only way we could have enjoyed our stay more was if it were longer. El lugar como tal es espectacular, con vista hermosa y tranquilo, nos gustó. Nos percatamos que las camas no son Queen como dice la reseña. También encontramos insectos muertos por los alrededores y la presión de agua bajaba.

March 2025We enjoyed our stay. The view was absolutely beautiful. The pool was a nice addition and we hung out in the back most of the time. There were only a few snafus which we figured out. We also did not have a problem with the two cats that came daily. Will definitely stay again

The pool is perfect for relaxing while soaking in the scenery. The house was spotless, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay. Plus, the peace and privacy made it the ideal getaway to unwind and recharge. Definitely a place we’d love to return to!

January 2025The location is unbeatable, with breathtaking views and the perfect temperature to disconnect and relax. Everything was super cool, and I truly enjoyed my time here. That said, a couple of small things to note: the mattresses weren’t the most comfortable, especially for larger people, and the master bathroom is quite small. Also, if it’s cloudy for more than a day, the hot water might run out. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend it.

December 2024GPS directions mandatory as you are in the mountains. Place was amazing and very relaxing. Things to do were not far away. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway with the option for activities if you want them. Place was exactly as described and pictured. Super clean and welcoming.

May 2024Overall Great place with awesome views from the terrace outside and a nice pool area. I only wish it had some sun loungers. The only con during our stay there was: outside porch area hasn't been cleaned and there was cat's poop under the bench and the whole porch reeked of cat's pee. I guess that's because there were always 4 cats hanging around.

April 2024You’ve definitely are paying for the view. The pool and being outside in a tropical paradise. And it was perfect for what my husband and I needed. I was concerned about the drive up the mountain so we rented a brand new SUV. Needless to say it was a little startling and definitely something better handled during the day and good weather. When we left, we took an alternate route to the airport, which had us immediately turning left out of the driveway. We got about 10 minutes into the journey, it had rained the night before so pavement was wet. We were unable to make it up the mountain road, our car due to the incline, started to slide backwards. We decided on a different route. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the feral cats! We named them and became friends. Water pressure is low. Hot water was sketchy. But would return again!
